Integrate Systems Consulting has been trading for 2 years, and it has been a busy time. We have exceeded our first year targets, delivering support in two major contracts, across multiple workstreams, where our expertise in systems engineering and marine engineering have been fully utilised. In our second year in business, we had a full order book, which saw us fully loading (and slightly more!), continuing support to our clients and expanding our expertise and experience.
As we enter our 3rd year in business we look forward to delivering further for our customers, expand our offering and continuing to provide the skills needed to support investment in our Nation's defence.
Integrate Systems Consulting has just completed a small project providing SME support to Fleetwind Ltd in the delivery of a study into underway replenishment. After leading the delivery of the successful bid, Integrate used our Principal Consultant's expertise to provide input to the study and develop the requirements against which the study was conducted. This highly successful task shows our adaptability and expertise in systems engineering and general marine consultancy.
Integrate Systems Consulting is proud to be supporting Babcock Marine in the development of requirements and systems engineering to support the considerable investment in Devonport Dockyard. We have completed a 12 month contract to provide systems engineering subject matter expertise to a wide range of projects, scaling and tailoring requirements development to match the demands of each task.
As part of our contract to Babcock, we conducted a research task into developing documents and processes to apply systems engineering to projects undertaken within the 7-stage Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) process. Systems engineering is not just about major platforms and equipment; INCOSE recognises that there are considerable benefits which systems engineering could deliver to the Built Environment.
Integrate identified a robust, but scalable and tailorable, process which can apply the right amount of systems engineering to support small and medium-scale infrastructure development.
Integrate Systems Consultancy has, over the last 22 months, supported Fleetwind Ltd, a dynamic and growing Marine Consultancy, in developing a capability to improve the maintenance of Queen Elizabeth Class (QEC) flight decks. This involved, in the first year, the development of User Requirements, a Concept model and Investment Appraisal material to inform future procurement. In our second contract in 2024-25 we further developed the work to include a CONUSE and System Requirements Document, together with an initial Acquisition Strategy.
This project was delivered to Fleetwind and the MOD client to a high standard and within tight budgetary constraints.
Integrate Systems Consulting supported Fleetwind Ltd in the transition of support for two major warship classes. Our work has been to guide and assure the handover process to ensure the receiving Delivery Teams were fully informed in the support status of the ships at handover.
Our support also involved the conduct of a Lessons from Experience (LfE) task; this involved eliciting Lessons Identified (LIs) from a range of stakeholders, assessing them and delivering to the end client a report summarising the LIs and drawing conclusions from them. This well-received report will be utilised by MOD to inform future support transitions for RN ships and equipment.
